A wise friend told me one time "You are born into a family by blood, you make your real family through life."

We have found this to be true many times during our life. Frank & I never had children. We excepted it as part of God's plan for us because we have been second parents to quite a few kids & grown-ups through the years.

I'll admit, I have been a bit jealous of all these parents having had children and I couldn't. My life long dream was to have had a daughter. Now, thanks to the Good Lord and the internet, my dream has come true.

The internet joined us with a wonderful lady that had been searching for her birth mother. Her dreams were crushed when she found that her birth mother had died two years earlier.

She knew that her dream of being reunited with her birth mother was no longer possible, at least not on this earth. Through writing back and forth, we became very close. There was an instant connection on both sides which we later shared with each other.

I told her I wished I was the birth mother she had been searching for. A few letters down the road, she made my dream come true. She told me if I wanted to be her mom, she would love it. I said yes!, yes!

Now we have a wonderful new family. Not only are we mom and dad to a beautiful daughter and a wonderful son- in-law, but we are grandma & grandpa as well.
