

Single Cylinder Racing
This is the 340 single Sach`s. This is on the 1972 Vigilante SS chassis. This sled was a production single cylinder race sled. The sled could give any twin 340 a run for its money. The engine used for this machine was the Model 340SS Sachs. The sled pictured is shown in Royal Blue.
Vigilante 440 SS Free Air
This sled was designed by Viking, to be a production race sled. The sled
features a K-4402SS Kohler Free Air. The engine was first built for Mercury and
Speedway for there race models. The popularity and demand for speed in the
racing world, helped the engine find its way to the rest of the market.
The
sled is shown here in Royal Blue.
1972 Viking Vanquisher
All race Viking`s. The 1972 Viking Vanquisher was designed and built only for
the tracks. They had all of Vikings Features, with the extras that only were
used in the races. They had a Twin Cylinder 650 Hirth (Red Baron) engine. The
exaust was two expansion chambers that exited the belly pan just in front of the
drivers feet. They were just a memory after the 1972 model year. The 2 pictured
here are shown in Viking Purple and Peacock. The Peacock one is Allen Carlsruds
and the Purple one is Mine.
