You too can learn to fly and realize the joys of R/C!  We have several

pilots who are authorized to train new pilots.  If you want to try it,

contact one of us and we will meet you at the field (or just show up

when some of us are out there and speak to someone about being

put on the buddy box).  This allows the trainer to give and take control

of the airplane during training to prevent the plane from possible

crashes that sometimes occur when new pilots are learning to fly.

So don't be shy, or scared that you'll break something.  We'll put you

on the buddy box to see how you like it.  If you decide it's something

you like, we will then encourage you to buy your first airplane trainer and

all equipment needed for flying.  Getting into the hobby, startup costs

can range anywhere from $200 - $500 depending on exactly what you get.

We may even be able to find someone with a nice used plane/equipment

that will sell to you at a better price.  Once you have all your equipment,

we will then teach you to fly on the buddy box until you are comfortable

flying on your own.  This hobby can be lots  of fun and very relaxing,

or it can be very stressful if you are not trained properly.  NEVER try to

teach yourself how to fly.  It's an acquired skill.  Trying to learn on your

own will be simply waiting for a crash, then frustration will set in and you will likely not stay in the hobby.  Hope to see you at the field!
