The Round Table Knights and Arthur.

           

 

 

The book The Acts Of King Arthur And His Noble Knights by John Steinbeck is about King Arthur’s life in England. Arthur starts out as a young boy who pulls a sword out of a stone making him the King of England. Over time he gathers many great knights and becomes the strongest king around. Towards the end of the book Arthur is killed. Arthur changes in this story by starting out as a boy with no power to the most powerful king in England all because he pulled the sword from the stone.

Body paragraph 1 topic. Before Arthur changes he is just a young boy with no power.

Body paragraph 1 quote. “Young Arthur came”, who had been reared in Sir Ector’s house and who was Sir Kay’s half brother” (18).

Body paragraph 2 topic.  Arthur’s life changes when he pulls the sword out of the stone, learning that he is the true King of England.

Body paragraph 2 quote. “ Sir Ector was silent for a time and then said, “I understand now that you must be the king of England ” (19).

Body paragraph 3  topic. By pulling the sword from the stone Arthur becomes the King of England and the most powerful King around.

Body paragraph 3 quote. “Arthur would be King of England to rule with peace and justice the whole realm…” (39).

In conclusion Arthur changes greatly in the book. Arthur’s change starts when he pulls the sword from the stone. He goes from being a boy with no power to becoming the King of England. During his reign as king, Arthur changes even more by learning to use his power as king for the good of the country. Arthur fights off invading armies and brings peace to England.
