The ministers at Southwest have dedicated their lives to teaching God's word. At Southwest, we have 5 ministers that have a role in the church. For more information about each minister, click on their name below.
Johnie Fredman was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was blessed to be raised in a Christian home. His father is a gospel preacher and his grandfather served as an elder in the church for many years. He married his wife, Gina, in 1995 and has two daughters, Kaylie and Allison. He received his Master’s degree in Community Counseling from the University of Oklahoma in 1997. He worked as a professional counselor with children, adolescents, and families; served as a juvenile probation officer; and was an officer with the Norman, Oklahoma police department prior to becoming the campus minister for Southwest in 2001. In addition to working with the students at East Central University, Johnie is also a professional hypnotist. He conducts hypnotherapy sessions and also conducts entertaining programs for churches, camps, schools, and other groups to demonstrate the power of the marvelous mind God has provided us.
