A+B will play every team in their own division twice, and all 6 teams in the other division one time.  C + D will work much the same as last year, with the division of 6 teams having a bye in each half.

The other 4 byes are taken by 4 of the C division teams, who will get their average weekly win total for those weeks.  Each team in C + D will play the other teams in their division twice, with the remainder

of the games against the other division.

PLEASE PAY VICKI AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.  League fees are $125 per team, and $50 from your sponsor.

February 11, 2006

Thru extended e-mailings, the league officers held their “end of the regular season” meeting to decide on things like payouts and the league tournament schedule. Here is what was decided.

Regular season payouts:  We will pay $125 for 1st place in all divisions; $95 for second place and $75 for third place.

Playoff Payouts:  Teams in all divisions will be paid $3 per win.  To make up for the “A” Division playing one fewer rounds than the other three, “A” Divisions 6th week will be a positional game.  1 will play 2.  3 will play 4. 5 will play 6.  This will give all the teams the same number of playoff games.  This is $0.25 less than we paid last year per win, however, it will be a significantly higher payout overall, because there are more games being played by more teams.

Additional Finance Notes – The league will once again be contributing $200 to the annual Fitz-Sue tournament, as it has for the past several years. If you have any questions, please contact Vicki.

League Tournament Schedule – The board decided to stay with Four divisions of 6/7/7/7 teams per division.  The Divisions are listed below.  "A" Division will play a 5 week round robin, where each team plays the others once.  (note the 6th week above).  The B/C/D Divisions will play a 7 week round robin, playing each team once, and having one off week.  "A" Division will end the scheduled part March 16, with the teams playing the positional game on March 23.  The other 3 divisions will end the week after the Fitz-Sue Tournament (March 25-Tourney/March 30th-Last Thursday Night).

A few notes about the moves.  We made what we thought were the obvious moves.  The Dart Team, Sports Spiders and Alley Katz were all moved down 1 division, while the Smokin' 4's were moved up one.  We considered moving Sidestreet GWC up, however without an obvious choice to move down out of "C" and since we felt it was better to keep C/D at 7 teams apeice for competitive reasons, we left them.

December 7, 2005Schlenker

Don’t forget that Eric Score is going to run the schlenker tournament this year.  It will be held Friday, Dec. 30, 2005.  Sign up starts at 5 pm.  It’s a fun social event.  You play with different people throughout the round robin, and the cost is minimal.  It’s a good way to get people who haven’t shot before to come out and try darts.

October 24, 2005 – About Match Sheets

I plan on doing the stats updating much like Scott ran it.  I will put up everything I have on Monday or Tuesday (usually Monday afternoon).  Any results I get later than that, I will try to update the team wins page, but it is unlikely that I will update any of the individual numbers until the following week.  The new match sheets should have both my real address, and my e-mail on them.  Either form is fine with me.  Also, if you do check the reports, and I don’t have the last name of a person, I have no idea who it is.  I am not totally familiar with all of the teams, and if they were not listed on your registration, I’m not sure who they are.  Please put the last names down of anyone new.

October 18, 2005 – New Schedule

I understand that there is some frustration by some captains as to the number of home games.  There are 2 teams and 1 board at Micks, O’Leary’s, Town Hall, Sidestreet, The Legion, The Bowler and 4 teams sharing 2 boards at Sports Bar.  Throw in 6 KC teams that on some nights need to be limited to 2 home teams because the back room is full as well.  There were some serious knots in the schedule for locations.  If you see an error that is fixable, as in you only have 6 home games (all teams not in C should have 7—the C division is weird because of the byes) and can find another game to switch, let me know, and we can and will change the schedule to be fair.  All the bars that have 2 teams should have a game every week.  So if you shoot out of the Sidestreet and have only 6 home games, the other team has 8.

October 5, 2005 – Schedule Etc.

I unposted the first week’s schedule on the main page.  It was up there for a few hours, so if you saw it you weren’t imagining things.  We’re still hammering out a few details on the schedule, and will contact the captains as soon as we know what is going on.  I understand that there are some teams still negotiating with bars for a sponsorship.  It looks like we have 28 teams, however I have not personally spoken with a few of the captains.

The plan is for the league to have 14 regular season weeks.  We’ll take the Thursday off for Thanksgiving, and the 2 off around Christmas and New Year’s.  This will put the last regular season game on February 2nd.  We’ll use the 9th for make-up and to put together a playoff.  The final day will be either the 23rd or 30th of March.

August 22, 2005 – Fall Meeting date set

The Fall Steel dart meeting has been set for Thursday, September 15th, 7:00 p.m. at the KC Hall in Fargo. All captains are asked to attend to turn in their team registrations, but all league darters are welcome to discuss league business. Team Registration sheets can be found on the main page of the web site and can be printed out and completed before the meeting. League meeting will include discussions on the following topics; election of officers, scheduling for upcoming season, tournament schedules and plan, re-enrollment in ADO association, etc. The league is tentatively set to start on Thursday, October 13th.
