Biographies:
Katie Peterson:
Katie has been playing celtic music since 1982.
In addition to studing music at Northern Arizona
University, she attended Willie Clancey School in
Miltown Malbay Ireland and the Shetland Fiddle
School in Sterling Scotland. Katie then continued
her training by seeking out and working with various
masters in the Celtic tradition. Katie is a music
teacher on staff at "Quick's Music Store" and at
"Arizona Music Pro."
Jan Alexander:
Jan has been performing as a singer for more than
twenty years. She has spent the past five years
specializing in Irish music. Jan toured the western
states prior to moving to Prescott in 1991.
Since that time, she has been incorporating her
music in the work she does in the public school.
Her voice has a sweet, clear quality that is a
trademark of the Irish singer.
Frank Daley:
Frank is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who has played
a variety of music for 25 years, and Celtic music for 15 years.
Frank has traveled and studied in Ireland and Scotland.
Frank holds a current Arizona Teaching Certificate,
is familiar with school settings and is excellent at
teaching and inspiring children.
Dave Firestine:
Dave is a self-taught musician who has been playing
traditional music on stringed instruments for over
20 years. Dave is the most sought after musician
in Arizona for playing dance tunes at traditional
square and line dances. Dave's relaxed attitude
and quick wit make for an easy rapport with any
group or audience.
Mary Bouley:
Mary is an accomplished Celtic harpist. She performs
annually for the Emerald Isle Society's Emerald Ball
and Tir na Nog. Mary has been playing harp for over
25 years. She studied under Patricia Harris, principal
harpist for the Tucson Symphony Orchestra. Also, Mary
studied under world-renowned harpist Suzanne MacDonald.
