Word Of Faith Home

Word Of Faith Christian Fellowship began as a result of the vision of several people of this community who desired to see a church of this type established in the Bay/Waveland area. Since our first meeting in February 1979, we have endeavored to be a blessing to our community. This body of believers includes all economic, educational, and social levels, giving us a unique ability to minister to the entire community.

We are also made up of people from different religious backgrounds; people who have all discovered a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. We are an evangelical body of believers with a firm emphasis on the Word of God (the Bible) and a Holy Spirit-filled life.

We are a family oriented church... Strong emphasis is placed upon family relationships.

Missions, foreign and domestic, are of major importance to this body. Our desire is to fulfill the command of Jesus to, "go into all the world and preach the gospel."

When we gather to worship the Lord, our music is spiritual, the friendships open, the preaching practical. All services are designed to "worship God in Spirit and in truth."

Ministries at Word Of Faith

Nurseries:
Birth Through Age 3-1/2
Parents of nursery-age children, as well as those who desire to minister to the "babies" rotate nursery responsibilities.

Children's Church
Age 3-1/2 Through Sixth Grade
Children's Church is held every Sunday morning during the Worship Service for this age group. It is a great time of Bible stories, puppet shows, and game playing.

K.I.D.S. Church
Age 3-1/2 Through Sixth Grade
K.I.D.S. Church is held on Wednesday nights at 7:00 PM. After worshipping, this age group is divided into two classes and ministered to in a casual setting.

Youth
Seventh Grade and Up
Word Of Faith has a desire to reach and train youth. Youth Group meetings are held at various times for worship, laughing, fun, and fellowship... and getting to know more of God's word and how it relates to their lives. In addition, frequent outings such as Christian concerts, mini-camps, and camping weekends are also planned.

Singles
Singles of all ages meet together for a time of fellowship and bonding. They either meet in homes or join other area Singles groups for dinners, conferences, and outings.

Sunday School
All Ages

Sunday School here at Word Of Faith meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. After worshipping together from 6:00 - 6:30 PM, classes taught by dedicated teachers are offered for all ages... from the newborn babe-in-arms to a choice of several adult classes.

We at Word Of Faith Christian Fellowship believe the great doctrines of Christianity as they are revealed in the Bible.

We Believe...

The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoratitive written Word of God.
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bolidy resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father.
The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
In the infilling power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
That our Lord will return, the dead shall be raised, and that all shall come to final judgment with its rewards and punishments.
