Rescue Team Needs $2000 in 24 hours
|
Greetings!
We need to raise $2,000 in the next 24 hours for our Haiti Rescue Team. We have already had $10,000 committed to this mission. Please help us! Call the church
office and bring your gift in right now! Some of the team members have
already left today and more team members will be heading out Friday and
Saturday. The need is immediate! You may be able to make a large
contribution or a small contribution. This will take all of us working
together!!

We have sent a team to Haiti to assist with the relief effort. There are many needs. One of our church
family has been working on building an Orphanage in the Dominican
Republic for rescued orphans from Haiti. NOW the need is even greater.
We are sending a team now and leasing a temporary building to house
them until the orphanage is built. Ask God what you can do to help.

Around the Clock Prayer Needed
Prayer
is needed for our team-especially on Sunday into the early hours on
Monday. Our team will be 2 hours ahead of us in time. So when we begin
at 3:00 on Sunday morning, it is 5:00 in the morning there. We are
asking people to be responsible for an hour. Within that hour, you may
invite other people to join with you in prayer, or assign part of your
hour to someone else. You do not need to come to the church and you do not need to pray together. The goal is prayer!
If you agree to pray, Jeannette will e-mail you a list of prayer requests on Saturday.
We
are needing people to sign up from 2:00 am on Sunday morning through
Monday. The critical time is Sunday, first. Please commit to a prayer
time on Sunday, first.

New Life Children's Refuge
Haitian Orphan Rescue Mission
The Urgent Need:
The number of Haitian orphans is estimated to have increased by 300% as
a result of the catastrophic earthquake this past week. Thousands of
children have lost their parents, and are injured, hungry, thirsty and
alone with limited chance of survival without help.
The Plan
Rescue Orphans from Port au Prince, Haiti
JAN. 22 (Friday/Saturday): NLCR team fly to the DR
JAN. 23 (Sunday): Drive bus
from Santo Domingo into Port au Prince, Haiti and gather 100 orphans
from the streets and collapsed orphanages, then return to the DR
JAN. 24 (Monday): Bus arrives in Cabarete, DR at New Life Children Refuge
Provide Love and Care for the Children at Interim NLCR Location
New Life Children's Refuge is in the process of buying land and building an orphanage, school and church
in Magante on the northern coast of the Dominican Republic. Given the
urgent needs from this earthquake, God has laid upon our hearts the
need to go now instead of waiting until the permanent facility is built.
He has provided an interim solution in nearby Cabarete, where we
will be leasing a 45 room hotel and converting it into an orphanage
until the building of the NLCR is complete.
This interim location will enable us to provide a loving environment for up to 150 children, from infants to 12 years old.
Needed:
NLCR is praying and seeking people who have a heart for God and a
desire to share God's love with these precious children, helping them
heal and find new life in Christ. Please prayerfully consider a 2 week
or longer mission trip to help NLCR provide rotating staffing for the
care of the children over the next 6 months.
