The name, "Midnight Retreat" is a name that I came up with in 1980, for my yet-to-be built  astronomical observatory.  I have not been able to build an observatory yet, but I have always liked the name and wanted to use it for my web site.  Midnight Retreat was to be used as a way of describing my enjoyment and love for astronomy.  Midnight represents the middle of the night and Retreat a way of describing getting away from the every day hustle of work, etc.  Midnight Retreat is an appropriate name for my web site, since it is the only time I get to do much with it.  It is also very enjoyable to work on.
