AACES

Ada Area Community Emergency Services (AACES) was founded in 2003 as a religious non-profit organization with the purpose of establishing an emergency shelter for the Ada area.  AACES is currently providing shelter in local motels for stranded people and those in emergency situations while it secures a permanent facility.  AACES also assists families in obtaining permanent housing, works with local food bank programs and clothing closets to assist people in need, and offers counseling and job application assistance.  Their goal is to help provide the continuum of care needed to permanently end homelessness, not just fill the immediate need.  Our congregation is exploring mission opportunities with AACES.  For more information about AACES or their needs, contact Gayla Callaway or Jill Acree at 272-0211.
