About the Artist
Barbara began her painting journey in the mid 1950s, when her husband worked at night. She would put their small daughters to bed and then set her easel up in the living room to paint until the wee hours of the morning.

All through the years, as they were raising their family of five daughters, Barbara painted whenever she could find the time. She read art instruction books voraciously. However, it wasn't until she and her husband were both retired from work in 2000, that she was able to paint on a regular basis and to study with some of the finest artists in her area.

She joined an art group that holds juried shows. She won a First Place ribbon for the first painting she entered. She has contined to win ribbons in many of the juried shows she enters.

Most of her paintings are done in oils, however, from time to time, she has done paintings in acrylics because of their brilliant colors. She loves vibrant color so she will often push the colors in her paintings.

All paintings are sold framed and ready to hang.
