1962 Thunderbird Convertible project car
Rust-free Western car!

This is a 1962 Ford Thunderbird Convertible project car, which would be the perfect start for full restoration. It is equiped with power folding top, power windows, power seats, air-conditioning, swing-away steering column, and standard 390 V8 engine. The car has been barn-stored south of Boise since 1982 , and was only recently moved to outside storage. Thanks to the dry desert conditions of this area, the floors and body panels are absolutely rock-solid and rust-free! What a find!

Given the amount of time this car has been off the road, you can expect that just about every mechanical system will need attention. I have no idea if the engine will turn over, but it is intact and appears to have an (old) NOS or rebuild carburetor mounted on it that was never hooked up. Both the air cleaner and air-conditioning compressor are missing, but amazingly the windshield washer bag is present and intact. The power folding top mechanism also looks to be mostly complete, but I am no expert on them so there may be a few missing pieces.
