This is a 1987 BMW M6, which was a rare, limited edition of BMW's top-of-the line 6-series E24 sports coupe. It is one of 1767 US market M-Power coupes made between 1987 and 1989, and originally listed for over $60K. It features a 3.5L twin-cam straight six engine, which was a street-tuned version of BMW's race engine which was also used in their M1 supercar. Engine output was rated at 286hp, with a 0-60 time of 6.1 seconds as measured by Car&Driver magazine. Brilliant acceleration combined with impeccable handling and road manners make the original M6 an unforgettable ride!

This black beauty is equipped with all the options, including 5-speed manual transmission, power sunroof, front and rear air conditioning, Recaro power sport seats, and full leather trim in Lotus white (a pale grey color). It also features updated BMW 17" wheels with 245/45-ZR17 Toyo Proxes tires, and a killer aftermarket stereo with uprated speakers, amp, and subwoofer mounted in a custom rear console insert (the original console is included).

The exterior of the car is in outstanding condition. It has 161K miles on the odometer, but looks like a lot less. Body panels are all straight with perfect gaps, and are free of even the slightest ripples or door dings. The paint looks all original, and there is no evidence of repair anywhere. There are a few small rock chips on the nose (the photo below makes it look worse than it does in person), and a couple of small paint mars visible under close inspection (two small rub marks on the roof, and one on the right rear fender).

The interior is overall in excellent condition, with minor leather discoloration on the primary wear points on the seats and armrests. Otherwise the seats, carpets, door panels, headliner, etc are in perfect condition. The only significant shortcoming in the interior is the top of the leather-covered dash, which has warped and separated at the seams. The trunk-mounted toolkit is complete, and includes all the original tools.

Mechanically the car is in superb condition, and comes with receipts for thousands of dollars in maintenance and repairs stretching back several years. It has been freshly serviced, and is ready to drive anywhere.
