1978 Mercedes-Benz 280SL
Rare European model - None Finer!

This is a 1978 Mercedes-Benz 280SL roadster, finished in a stunning red with tan interior color combination. It is a rare European version, which means it is equipped with the high-output, Euro-spec engine, thin chrome bumpers, and powerful, flush-mounted halogen headlights. Due to the lighter weight and high-revving, twin-cam 6-cylinder engine, handling and overall driving experience of this model is vastly superior to the sluggish and heavy US market 450SL and 380SL cars.

This example includes just about every available option, including removable hardtop, folding soft top in original-style German fabric, leather seats, air conditioning, power windows, power steering, and power assisted brakes. It is also equipped with ultra-rare and expensive 16" AMG alloy wheels, Nardi wood steering wheel and shift knob, as well as an aftermarket lift for removing and storing the hardtop.

This car has 134K miles (verified) on the odometer, and comes complete with all manuals and service records from new. It has been fanatically maintained by only three owners, and recently underwent a complete A/C system overhaul with updates to R134 refrigerant (with receipts for over $2K). It has been in the dry climate of Idaho since 1981, and shows absolutely no signs of rust or rot. It has fewer than 4K miles on a show-quality repaint in the original factory color (with receipts for over $5K). Absolutely flawless!
