"St. Benedict Indoor Event - 2006" 

Lake Agassiz Bowmen did well at the Minnesota state indoor held at St Benedict College in St Joseph , Minnesota in April 2006.

"300 League Tournament - 2006" 

This year's 300 league participants (2006) had a great time with a great banquet at the end of the season.  We were able to have some entertainment from Duane Dumas as well as give out some trophies to this year's team tournament winner Engel Outdoors (members are Bill, Denny, Rod captain, Clay and Brian (not in the photo)).  We were also able to get a photo of last year's team tournament winner Team Earl (Lolly, Mike, Tom captain, Ben, Kelsey).

"Marshall, Mn Tourney - 2005 " 

The kids came thought again at the Minnesota State Field Tourney at Marshall, Mn recently.  It was the first time that Cass and Heidi had shot a field round.  Heidi took first in youth female freestyle, Cass got first in cub male bowhunter freestyle limited and Nick took first in youth male bowhunter freestyle limited.  Coach Rrags came in second in NAA freestyle.  This was a great range to shoot. The photo is of target 15 out of 28, a 55 yard shot...it was a long way down. It was a very hilly course..

"Lake Agassiz Members Do it Again" 

Four youth and two adults from the Lake Agassiz 4-H Outdoor Skills Archery program participated in the Minnesota State 900 Round Archery Shoot in Hibbing, Minnesota June 25 & 26, 2005.

Heidi Rasmussen, Wolverton, MN placed first in the youth female freestyle, Nick Clemenson placed first in youth bowhunter freestyle
limited setting a new state record, Cass Edwards placed first in cub bowhunter freestyle setting a new state record, and Tim Italiano placed
third in youth freestyle limited, Caroline Italiano placed first in adult female NAA freestyle and Dan Rognlie placed second in adult NAA
freestyle.  The 900 round for the youth is shot 50, 40,& 30 yards.  The cubs shoot 30,20,& 10 yards shooting 30 arrows at each distance. 

The adults shoot 60,50,& 40 yards.

"5 for 5"

Five for 5 at Minnesota State.  Members of the Lake Agassiz Bowmen Youth Program made the trip down to Hutchinson, Minnesota on April 2nd and 3rd, 2005. Out of the 5 that went everyone placed!

What a fantastic showing.  I know of two coaches who are still smiling,  Jeff and Rags.  We sure are proud of these kids.  It is not easy to win in Minnesota.  There were about 650 shooters at this tourney.  There were 3 robin hoods shot that weekend and two of them were ours.  Heidi and Cass each got one.  Way to go guys!!!!!!!!!!

Youth Archery

Dan (Rags) Ragnlie is running the youth archery classes in our clubhouse. This is for youth from the 4-H program, Fargo Parks & area schools. 2004 had approximately 200 participants. In 2005, 200 participants have registered so far! The Moorhead American Legion helps financially to support this worthwhile program. Thank you Dan for keeping this great program running.
