· My CNC machine. Plans purchased from http://www.crankorgan.com. I have made some modifications from the original plans.

I was having a very difficult time getting the pipe adjusted to meet specifications. Therefore, I changed the design to make the adjustments easier. I hope this design will work. I copied the design that I have seen on John's website.

Making a trial run at setting the height of the rail. This was a snap, compared with trying to set the pipe with flanges and elbows. I had the machine completely painted at one time. Then I made the modifications. You can see where I have sanded the paint down to the MDF. I have a little more sanding to do, and then I will spray the machine again. The paint is some that I found in my garage.

The alignment blocks are 3/4" thick and about 3 1/2" square. I didn't have any 3/4" PVC to make them with, so I took 1/4" PVC and cut it 1" wide and 3 1/2" long. The cross pieces are 1 1/2" long. The then used PVC glue to glue the pieces together. I clamped the pieces to make sure they were held securely. In the future, I think I would go purchase the right thickness to make them.
