Is this a project car or a daily driver?      You decide.

This winged beauty has great potential for anyone looking to restore a '59. Although it does have some rust, it is definitely treatable. And it comes with a replacement hood and deck lid which are not easy to find these days.
The car could be kept and driven the way it is as I have done for the past 6+ years. It catches a lot of people's attention! You better get used to people starring if you're going to drive this around town.

With the exception of the backup lights and the radio, I believe all of the electrical works. If you'd like to know about anything specific, please ask.

It's powered by a great running 383 Stroker and a 3-speed automatic transmission.

I have owned the car for just over 6 years and it's been kept in a garage here in Idaho. During that time I have had a lot of work done on it. I am not a mechanic so all of the work was done by professionals and I have receipts.

The following items have been replaced from Late Great Chevys, Year One Inc., National Impala Association, or other classic car parts dealers:
Park Light Lenses, Interior Coat Hooks, Interior Dome Light Lenses, Brake Pedal Pad, Inside Rear View Mirror, Sunvisor Brackets, Exterior Rear View Mirror.

All this for only $7,999

Below are a number of pictures of the car.

I've tried to include as much information as I could think of.

Also, check back with this page for updates.
If a question gets e-mailed to me, I'll post the answer on the page.

Rear view of my 1959 Chevrolet Impala.

The grill is complete and in very good shape.

A nice side view.
A bit of rust on the driver side quarter panel.
Some more rust on the passenger side quarter panel.
All stainless is intact. Some could use straightening and polishing.
All of the glass is in great shape. There is a tiny star on the passenger side door and wing-windows have a small amount of bubbling in them.

One-piece front and rear bumpers!

Dual exhaust.

Passenger side view.
Passenger side stainless close up.

383 Stroker. This motor was in the car when I bought it.

It also has a 3-speed automatic transmission.

New Holly carburetor in
June 2002.
New power steering lines in April 2003.
New glass packs in May 2003.

MSD Ignition.
The temperature gauge, clock and radio doesn't work. I do have the clock permanently set at 8:05 for all you Sammy Hagar fans!
The gas gauge works kind of. When the tank is full, the gauge reads about 3/4. When the tank gets below 1/2, the gauge reads E. An adjustment to the sending unit may be all it needs.
I can throw in an extra set of gauges but don't know if any of them work.
All dash lights work. Interior lights work. Windshield wipers work. Heater works great! Headlights, taillights and turn signals work.
Am I missing anything here?

The interior is in decent shape. The carpet was replaced in 2000 and Sound Deadner pads were added. The headliner is in excellent condition. The sunvisor brackets, clothes hooks and rearview mirror were replaced about 5 years ago. The dash pad is cracked and needs to be removed or replaced. The bucket seats are not original. They were in the car when I got it.
This car has the swing-out Kleenex holder mounted under the dash.
The window regulators all work great.
The door panels are a bit bent and could be replaced. I have a set of door panel liners that are brand new.
Gotta like these wheels! Talk about "old school".
The tires only have about 2000 miles on them.
The trunk is huge in this baby! I can haul a 4x8 sheet of plywood in it.

The spare tire holder is rusted through. Replacement panels are available through a number of suppliers.
The area of the body around the trunk is rusted through in a couple of places.

Here's the area around the license plate.
The trunk lock works fine.
The grill is complete and in very good shape.

BONUS    SECTION

These items will be included with the purchase of the car.

Full set of 59 Impala hubcaps.

A pair of NOS headlight bezels.
Emblem for rear deck lid. The one currently on the car is faded. This one is in real nice shape.

Spare deck lid and hood. The ones on the car might be salvageable or resellable. But the ones pictured here are in great shape. They even have some extra trim pieces on them.

This seat is actually out of a 4-door Impala. It comes with an extra set of seat chrome. Obviously it needs to be re-padded and covered. The floor bracket is a bit bent and rusted.
Weather stripping kit. I bought this kit but never got it installed. I'll throw it in!

Restoration catalogs and a box of National Impala Association and Late Great Chevys newsletters. Plus a book on Chevy 348 motors.
