The dogs played, chasing each other like hungry wolves, and the lime-green rocket reached into the low, gray clouds and falling snow.

"Did you see it?" Uncle Tom asked.

Commander Bonehead searched through dark glasses, small snowflakes hitting the lens. "I didn't see shit." He laughed.

"Goddamn it," Scorpio said, hands in the pocket of his Levi jacket, watching the gray.

"Oh, no," Godfather said, laughing and pulling his blue stocking cap down over his ears.

"That was the only rocket we had," Scorpio said, standing in the falling snow, staring up.

"Oh, no," Godfather said again, grinning.

"What do you mean the only one," Commander Bonehead said, taking off his glasses and wiping it with his black scarf. "You guys brought more than one, didn't you?"

Uncle Tom started to laugh. "Now, that's a boneheaded thing to do."

Commander Bonehead began laughing. "Bonehead," he managed to say.

The Family walked through the blizzard, to Scorpio's house. They were never heard from for two weeks, and the supply of 50 proof NyQuil dwindled in Boise.
