Craig Mann
Pro Sideman

Pedal Steel, Guitars, Vocals, Sound, Stage, Studio.

Craig cut his musical teeth in a series of traveling bands that toured the U.S. and Canada from 1974 to 1979. A Music Major at Grossmont College, he left in his 3rd year to go on the road with 'The Dalton Gang'. The tour ended up being almost 4 years long and included a variety of bands from country western to a show band called 'Hands' that featured a horn section.

Living in Colorado for the last 18 years, Craig was no stranger to the local Denver scene. Craig played continuously as both a duo and a five-piece band with Peggy Mann. Their act has been written up in "The Rocky Mountain News" and "Denver Post" and won numerous local and national songwriting contests. In 1999 they made a CD entitled "Tenderness." Craig wrote the title track of the CD, and played guitars, bass, and keyboards. He was also very involved in the recording and production of the CD project, which is still being marketed by Semi-Mental Productions in Aurora, Colorado. To launch the CD, the band hosted a sold-out CD Release Party at the 'Soiled Dove' in downtown Denver where, according to the owner, they were "the first locals to pack the place".

Also in 1999, the act performed in a benefit studio gig with Steve Gadd (best known as Eric Clapton's drummer) in New York, and opened for Nancy Griffith at Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort in Utah.

Now a 30-year veteran of the music business, Craig is gifted at making room for the stars to shine. He is extremely grateful for his musical gifts and will add depth to any band with his thick, lush harmonies and musical passages that showcase his strong musical foundation. He is alive and connected on stage and has a contagious energy.

Craig's musical passion has led him from lead guitar to pedal steel guitar. For the last three years Craig has been a constant in the Denver country picture. His skill on pedal steel placed him in high demand and he played with a variety of bands, most recently opening for Emerson Drive.

A short time ago Craig left Denver, and a great job, to move to Prescott, Arizona to make music his full time gig. "I aspire to lock hearts with a high profile team of hard working pros and make some musical hay. No drugs, dysfunctional behavior, or excuses. I have made this opportunity to be a full time pro sideman and plan to make it work for many years to come. I am a Christian and a man of my word. Look forward to hearing from you, thanks in advance. Live it right up!"
