~ Frankie then ~

Aesa (formerly named Frankie) is a small miniature American Eskimo Dog who was rescued from the Idaho Humane Society in June 2003, where she was about to be euthanized because she was considered unadoptable.  She would cower in the back of her kennel baring her teeth at any passers-by.  Come to find out, she was simply terrified and confused, spending most of her time staring at the door waiting for her family to return for her.  Her cage card stated she was dropped off by her family because they were moving to Texas, and that she was good with other dogs, good with cats, but was better off with women and didn't really get along with men or children.   When foster mom and dad, Rob and Annette Neeley, took her into their home in Mountain Home, Idaho, they quickly discovered that she is an absolutely loving and affectionate girl who is housetrained and well-mannered.  She made herself at home and bonded right away to Rob, following him around the house and leaping in excitement upon his return home for the day, and she gets along fine with older children who are gentle with her.

AESA WAS ADOPTED!  We're very happy to report that Aesa (pronounced ay'-sah) was adopted by a gentle, patient single man in Boise where she is getting all the love, attention and understanding she deserves in her own home.  Thank you, Rob and Annette, and Eric her new dad, for giving her a second chance on life.
