Forever Healthy
Kevin Kelly, L.R.D.
Did you sell any weight loss or nutrition products when you had your practice?
No. I refused to compromise my ethics at the expense of others. Weight loss products are not necessary for permanent weight loss. Such gimmicks only set people up for failure after they realize that what they purchased is not practical and it is not the solution to weight loss. While nutrition supplements are needed in some situations, I have a problem with the way supplements are promoted. Taking fiber pills or drinking mineral toddies is not the way to lose weight or provide yourself with optimum nutrition. Any time someone sells you a nutrition or weight loss product, a red flag should pop up. People who sell such products usually have personal financial gain as their top priority instead of your individual needs. In my practice, I provided a service. That service consisted of recommendations on nutrition and exercise, not a sales pitch. There is no "magic pill" for weight loss. Establishing a sound diet and an exercise routine is the only permanent way to maintain a healthy weight.
