Trip Destination: Sedona - Soldier Pass and Greasy Spoon Trails
Meeting Place: To be announced
Departure: To be announced
General Route: Hwy 89A through Jerome to Sedona
Return By: Late afternoon
Difficulty: Soldier Pass - around a 2.5. Lots of steep, rocky steps. Most high clearance stock 4x4s can
make it. Rear locker or limited slip would be beneficial.
Greasy Spoon - around a 2.5. Steep climbs and descents on rocky terrain. Suitable for stock
high clearance vehicles.
Special Attractions and Other Details: C'mon.....this is Sedona! No hype needed. But there is a catch. All trails
in the Sedona area require a Red Rock Pass to park for more than a few minutes on or along a
trail, but no pass is required as long as we keep moving, so any stops we make on the trails
will be pretty short.
April 10, 2010
Trip Leader: Shane McKinney 928.445.0881
Destination: Table Mesa Road trails of Lower Terminator, Upper Terminator, and Predator
Meeting Place: Parking Lot behind Blondie's Kitchen, 2735 Hwy. 69 in Humboldt. Look for the Chevron
gas station on your left.
Departure: 7:30AM sharp.
General Route: Hwy. 69 to I-17, south to Table Mesa Road, then west.
Return By: Mid to late afternoon barring breakage.
Difficulty: Hwy 60, 1-17 - 0.3 Lower Terminator - 3.5 Upper Terminator - 3.5
Predator - 3.5-4.0 with one spot around a 4.5+ that could ruin your whole day, body
damage wise.
Special Attractions and Other Details: Trails are not inter-connected, so you don't have to do all three. The run
starts at Lower Terminator. It may be fairly warm down there by mid-April so check the
PHX weather for appropriate attire, etc. Because of the difficulty of these three trails,
participation will be limited to a dozen vehicles. Call Shane at the number listed
above to reserve your spot. Minimum 33 inch offroad tires, good ground clearance, and
lockers front & rear are highly recommended. This will be a rough run. This run will test
your driving skills climbing over large rocks, ledges, etc.
