North Star Charter School

NSCS Policy Manual Initiative

Purpose and Intentions

It is the intention of the NSCS Board in partnership with the community and the administration to establish an effective and useful policy manual for the school.   The policies contained in this manual will serve as the foundation of beliefs that create the direction, actions and procedures of the North Star Charter School. The framework of this policy manual was purchased from Idaho School Boards Association and was designed specifically for Charter School implementation.  Click Here to see the introductory page and copyright information.  These document represents over two years of collaborative effort and research on the part of our administration, policy committee, and policy sub-committees. Parents and the PTO have had their hands on reviewing and altering the first draft and it is now in the Boards hands to formalize the policy and initiate the discipline required to start using this within the school.  In addition to being placed at each school facility and the NSCS Library, each policy may now be easily accessed on our website. Supplementary policies and revisions to existing policies will be included as they occur.

We welcome your feedback on the policies and process.  Please submit your thoughts via email by clicking here.

We trust  that that the review and implementation of these policies serve as a useful reference tool for our schools and community.
