Prairie’s Edge Nordic Skiers
(PENS) is a club for cross country skiing enthusiasts of all ages and
abilities. Our goals are to bring local skiers
together for social and educational activities, promote xc skiing as a healthy
activity to the greater community, and to promote better and more consistent
trail grooming in the Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN area. See the club Calendar
for meetings and events.
If you are a beginner, we have
several ways to help you get started!
Our annual adult and youth ski lessons in January are a great way to get
started for the whole family. The lessons
are organized through Fargo
Parks at the Edgewood Golf
Course Winter Chalet. They have
rental equipment there that is included in the lesson fee (pre-registration is
required). A paid PENS membership will
also get you access to a free instructional evening clinic in January. We are also available to help you by just
dropping us an email. We can arrange a
time for one of our “Ski Ambassadors” to meet you at Edgewood to
help you get started.
To join the club, print and mail
the Membership Application linked above.
