M22-Sagittarius-NGC6656

One of the prettiest globulars in the northern sky, M22 rivals M13 in size and brightness.  According to Burnham's only Omega Centauri and 47 Tucanae are brighter.  M22 is also one of the closest globulars and is very near the plane of the Milky Way.   Intergalactic dust may dim the light of this globular and be partly responsible for it's golden hue.
