When we talk about ruminations, we might be talking about what the ruminants do. That’s the animals that chew their cuds. But we’re really chewing on problems. We just can’t get them out of our heads. So here are some of my thoughts. And if you’ve seen them somewhere before, that’s probably where I found them. |

If Money is the root of all evil, then what is the leaves? What do the branches look like? And if money is the root of all evil, I must be downright saintly! |

What this country needs is a good five-cent cigar. Does anybody know why this country needs one? About the time they actually come up with a good five-cent cigar, the nickel will be obsolete. The smallest coin will probably be a half-dollar and you’ll use it to buy penny candy. What this country needs is a good five-cent nickel. |

If you string all the World War II movies together, they last longer than World War II did. Eventually, if you string all the James Bond movies together, they’ll last several lifetimes. At the current rate of production, by the year 2200, there will be seventy James Bond movies. I’m looking forward to the one where he meets Sherlock Holmes. |
