2 in a Row
Fourteen players showed up for this tournament, and I must say, It was one of the toughest tournament played in a long time. This is how everyone placed.. 1. Rupert Boeselt 20pts. State Champion 2. Ed King 19pts. 3. Albert Tucker (LA) 18pts. 4. Curtis Chambers 17pts. 5. Jody Dragoo 16pts. 6. Hugh Hawkins 15pts. 7. Doyle Brownlee 14pts. 8. Steve Graham 14pts. 9. Earle Sweatmon 13pts. 10. Earl Harvell 13pts. 11. Wayne Maass 11pts. 12. Glen Welsh 12pts. 13 David Fiedler 9pts. 14. Alan Sellers 6pts. We used the Swiss scoring system, which works like this. We play a two game round with the same drawn opening. One with the red checkers and one with the white. You get 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss. Your next opponent is then drawn from players that have an equal amount of points that you have and the one with the most points is the Champ. Ties are broken up by the players with the most honor points. Honor points are figured like this. The total points of your opponents are added up, dropping the one with the lowest points. The player with the most honor points takes the spot.............Steve Check out this new site I am playing at.... http://www.itsyourturn.com/
Here is how it went game by game. You read it like this. Each box has four numbers. The first is the players number that you played / points for game one / points for game 2 / the running total of all previous games.
