Jacob's Southern Boil
This recipe comes from my brother-in-law Jacob who lives in Florida.
Place small whole or quartered new potatoes in cold water with a "Crab Boil" seasoning pouch. When the water comes to a boil, toss in 3" chunks of corn on the cob and quartered onions (Leave the stump of the onion in tact when you cut the onion to hold the quarters together). After a while, add Kelbasi sausage in 2" chunks. Cook until the skin splits. Finally, throw in shrimp and let it cook about 5 minutes. Jacob likes to leave the shrimp unpeeled, but I prefer to peel the shrimp ahead of time. Drain off the liquid and put all of the goodies onto a platter or a table covered w/ brown paper. Serve with Cocktail sauce.
