We are finding it hard to get the time to write these. Jim got his bike towed from our Hotel in Lewiston Idaho to the Harley dealer for his 9:00 am appointment. The Harley dealer immediately went to work on it and installed a new tire. Looks like the old tire was defective as Jim had a new one installed it before we left on the trip. By the time we ate, fueled, loaded it was 11:30 before we were able to hit the road. We went into Washington just a few miles out of Lewiston. We took all back scenic country roads as we worked our way northwest towards Canada. We had two reservations for the night but decided to opt for the further one to make our day a little shorter on Saturday. We ate dinner in Omak, Washington then did the final 120 miles for a great evening ride to the Canadian border at Osoyoos, where Jim & Bonnie were brought in for further questioning and Don & Emma went right thru. It was thought the problem might have been that J & B forgot to sign their passports. They finally were released, then we followed route 3 all along the Okanogan river and about 70 miles into Canada to the small town of Princeton where we will spend the night.. It was a great scenic ride and the weather finally cooled down as most of the day was in the 90's. We partied along with another biker from Canada and the hotel host until after midnight, but had to turn in as we have another 300 mile plus day tomorrow.
