How to get to Gilt Edge
There are basically 3 routs. You can take the Black Butte Road
from Roy, the Gilt Edge - Fort Maginnis Road from Cheadle or the
Maiden Canyon Road from Highway 191.

From Lewistown, take Highway 87 to Cheadle, a distance of about
8 miles. Turn north on the Gilt Edge - Fort Maginnis gravel Rd.
Gilt Edge is about 7 miles from Highway 87.

You may also take Highway 191 from Lewistown to less than a mile
beyond the Brooks - Denton turnoff and turn right (east) on the
Maiden Canyon Rd. It is approximately 8 miles to the old townsite of
Maiden where the paved highway turns to gravel. Continue past that
point for about a mile up the hilland keep going stright to Gilt Edge
which is approximately 8 miles from Maiden. The road to the left
leads to Camp Maiden and Judith Peak.

Roy to Gilt Edge via the Black Butte Rd. is about 20 miles.
