The Record Is Still 61 is a grass roots movement dedicated to the expunging of any single-season or career baseball records by Major League Baseball if the record holders are unable to establish that their performances were not enhanced by illegal drugs.

We are convinced that Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, and Barry Bonds will be unable to prove that their home run record-breaking seasons were established without the use of illegal performance-enhancing drugs.

We believe that the Roger Maris's record of hitting 61 home runs in 1961 is still the single-season home run record for Major League Baseball.
