This is the current calendar for my Dunkley Music students. The "x"s mean no lesson or class. The dates with the box and "class" marked in them are the dates of the theory class and jam session. The times for the classes are below the calendar. Dates with no box or "x" are regular private lesson days.

The song we are playing for the Nov 17 jam session is:
Satisfaction.

For the theory class I will discuss "keys," the definition and significance.

Here is the Satisfaction file in Band-in-a-box format.
Click on the name to download a Band-in-a-Box format file to play along with.

The style used in this file is not included in Band-in-a-Box. It is the MEDROCK2.STY style. It must be installed BEFORE opening the song. Click on the style hyperlink, download and place it in the bb root directory. Then open Band-in-a-Box, click on the style button and a style dialog box will open. Click on the "Re-build" button. Now the program will recognize the new style. Now you can open the song and it will open with the correct style. If you have questions, please ask me and I will try to walk you through it. If you choose not to download & install this style, you may just open the song and select the Medium Rock style that came with the program.

If you do not have that program you may click on the file below and download a midi file of the song to play along with using Windows Media player or a similar program.
Satisfaction Midi file.

Below is the music to the song in the event that you were not able to pick up a copy from me at your lesson. It is a PDF file. You can download it and view and print it out using Adobe Reader.

Here is the Satisfaction Pdf. Double click on the hyperlink and Adobe Reader will open and you can print out the song.

Here is Satisfation in Powertab format. You will need the Powertab program to open it.

Here is the banjo version in pdf format. Here it is in Tabrite format. You will need the Tabrite program to open it. You can download it free from this site: http://www.banjohangout.org

Below is a zip file containing the songs in the Jerry Snyder's "Guitar School" book, the book I use to teach note reading to my students. I have entered the songs into "Band-in-a-Box" so my students will have an accompaniment to play along with. I have put them into a "zip" file. The file includes all of the songs from the book entered in "Band-in-a-Box" format. For students who do not own the program, I also included midi files of all of the songs. There are many advantages to using "Band-in-a-box." It allows options to speed up and slow down the files as well as change the instruments used, edit the files, etc.

Since these files are zipped, it is first necessary to download them to your computer then unzip them. Click the file to begin the download. Specify the directory where you would like them downloaded. Once they are downloaded you will need to unzip the files. If you are using Windows XP there is an unzip program included in XP, Check your Windows help files for instructions on unzipping the files. If you are using a previous version of Windows, you will need PKzip or Winzip. Unzip them into the location of your choice on your hard drive. In order to open the "Band-in-a-Box" files, you will need the "Band-in-a-box" program. You can purchase the program on line at the PG Music site (Check my "Links" page.) You may also purchase it at a discount price through Dunkley Music if you tell them you are one of my students.

Here is the zip file for downloading:  Dunkley Student Download

The books I use for advanced note reading are Hal Leonard books 2 and 3. For students who have Band-In-A-Box and would like to play along with the songs in the book using Band-In-A-Box, below are the files you will need:
