Born in Combat...
Interestingly enough, a common by-product of war and combat has been the songs written and sung by the soldiers, sailors, and airmen who participated in those conflicts. Whether this stems from a drive to seek comfort and camaraderie in times of stress, or is just another form of "whistling past the graveyard," the results have formed an oral history of war.
