When you fly with the Wolfpack, you get to see a lot of countryside. You get so you know each place by name. Some of those names are pretty hard to pronounce, but it don't take long to learn. And then there's a few places that don't have names so we name them ourselves: Thud Ridge, Banana Valley, the Loop, the Railroad—both of 'em, MiG Ridge, the Island. But we don't name every place, some places don't need names. When you mention the bridge, everybody knows what you're talking about. And forever after to the fighter pilots who flew in the Wolfpack there'll always be only one place that's called 'downtown'. . .
