The Trinity United Methodist Church Wesley Handbells will present its annual holiday concert on December 6th. Children’s program Saturday, December 5 (3:30 p.m.) and full program Sunday December 6th (4:30 and 7:00 pm) at Trinity United Methodist Church, 237 N Water Ave, Idaho Falls. Titled “Anticipation of Christmas”, the program will include Christmas pieces, old and new, as well as several new selections. Secular pieces include Arab Dance from the Nutcracker, White Christmas, and a fun-filled arrangement of carols called Carolers' Hoedown. Wesley has a collection of over five octaves of handbells and five octaves of handchimes. We are the largest bell choir in southeast Idaho and these instruments are played by 14 skilled ringers. The ringers will be joined by flute, organ, and percussion. A guest vocalist and audience participation in carols will add further enjoyment to the concert. The Wesley holiday concerts are treats for both the ears and eyes as gleaming bronze bells flash through the air, ringing with expression and musicality.

Sunday, December 13 — 3:00 pm, Carols of the Bells concert featuring several choirs from Nampa and Caldwell; Gem State Academy, 16115 Montana Ave, Caldwell.

Thursday-Saturday, January 21-23 — Cool Ringings for grades 5-8. Phyllis Tincher, bells and chimes clinician; Ben Purvis, choral and conference director. Gem State Academy, 16115 Montana Ave, Caldwell. Concert Saturday, 2:00 pm. For more information and registration, email bpurvis@gemstate.org.
