The group bis hails from Scotland with music that fails to fit nicely into one category. Reviewers usually wind up stuffing it into pop, rock, punk or some other "sort of but not quite appropriate" category. They rawk, no balls about it. Their official site.
Could you fall in love with an accordion? "Geek rock" it may be, but it's still cooler than anything on 107.7 the X. Their official site. And it's a doozy.

Bravo is the arts network. It's a really cool channel that pushes the boundaries of conventional basic cable television.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 Official Site
So a guy's put in space with two robots and a bunch of bad movies... It was bound to happen sooner or later! My favoritest of favorite TV shows.
Another of my favorites is MTV's Daria. Yes, I actually watch MTV without complaining for lack of music videos now because I have M2. So nyah. This unofficial site rocks Lawndale and the world.
Michael Feldman's Whad'Ya Know?^SHOPPING ONLINE:Not much apparently. That's okay, it's still one of public radio's best programs. And like most public radio programs, it seems to have originated from the upper midwest. What's with those people?
Without a doubt the absolute funniest morning show on the air in central Alabama. I actually wake up in the mornings sometimes just to hear this show!
OK, so I don't know quite to make of this page, or this show anymore. It was a stable of my daily radio listening when I was in Tuscaloosa, but the show has changed drastically. It's sort of a bad attempt to copy Howard Stern, albeit it's still funnier than Stern.
Car Talk is NPR's funniest show in my opinion. Certainly not for the high-brow "All Things Considered" (as in "All things considered, I'll let the mechanic fix my car") group, this show combines humor with great advice about your car. The site is absolutely chock full of time kill material. Awesome. Available on AOL at keyword: car talk.
Art Bell is king of overnight radio, and for good reason. Where else can you hear unscreened, uncensored crazy people discuss aliens and conspiracy theories at length? What's scarier: knowing that there are freaky people out there who actually buy into some of the stuff on this show, or knowing that some of weird things talked about on this show are actually quite real?
What can I say? It's the BBC. Not only is it a government run service that people actually like, it's a government run service that provides better programming and news than most US commercial stations can even dream of buying from someone else! BBC radio comes in many flavours: Radio 1, Radio 2, Radio 3, Radio 4 and Radio 5. The BBC also has some neat technical information online, and they also maintain a site dealing with their digital audio broadcasting system. Finally, their shortwave broadcast World Service has a nice site.
BizRate^MISCELLANEOUS T / MY OWN PRIVATE TIME KILL CENTRAL:Before you go through the virtual doors of that online merchant, check out his rating on BizRate. The absolute best rating system for online merchants. Find out if that company is fly-by-night or a pillar of the community.
It's the place to go for that little Christian fish with the legs and the word "Darwin" inside it. If you're going to be political, you might as well get something from this site. Most of it will piss off at least a few fundamentalist Christians.
Cold war artifacts. Heirlooms from the families of some long dead Czar. Russian war toys. It can all be yours. You didn't think the democratic people of Russia just burned all that Communist Party memorabilia? No! They're selling it to us, and it's tré cool.
Measurement Units Translator^CARS AND MR2 STUFF:Everything these days is online. A handy metric <> everything else converter would be no exception. Here it is!
When I say "enter at your own risk", I [blank]ing mean it! Not for the faint of heart, this website will probably make you barf. And that's a good thing. See pictures of things you'd rather not see. Just remember, if you don't like it, don't bookmark it. That's the rule of the first amendment of internet surfing.
OK, so I don't live in Atlanta, but doggone it this site is so cool I just gotta keep checking on that slow flowing traffic along Peachtree. See trouble spots all through the Atlanta area, get a live look at the Interstate warning signs and yes even see live views of Atlanta's major arteries!
The book is great and so is the website! All the weird, the wacky and the downright bizarre attractions we Americans have setup alongside our highways and byways.
I say "EXPOSED" because this little gem may shock you if you're easily offended by dirty words. Peer in at what people are searching for, live and uncensored. And I thought I didn't know to use a search engine. Sheesh.

ByeDeskFujitsu operates this nifty little site where you can get yourself a e-mail address for your phone (!) if it supports SMS. You can also send your friends with SMS capable phones a short message for free.
GSM Alliance / GSM MoU Association
The GSM Alliance is the group of GSM cellular providers in the US that have united to simplify roaming when you travel with your phone. The GSM MoU Association is an organization that does... Something. I don't know what. What I do know is their site and the GSM Alliance site are the same for now. The MoU site has a great database of information on global GSM carriers.
It's not one of the better websites out there, but Powertel certainly is a good carrier, and they probably have better coverage of their service area overall than any other US network.
