An overall view of my dashboard in it's current state. It's amazing how huge of an improvement a Grant carbon fiber look steering wheel can make on an interior... thanks honey! ;) |
Picture of the totally new dash, minus the oil pressure and temp gauges, which go to the right of the speedo (didn't have time to move them, they are a little more hassle since they are mechanical gauges). Yes, I took the pic while driving down the highway, so it's a little blurry, but oh well. |
Used seats from a '96 Aerostar (hey, don't laugh, they were only $100 for the pair!). Definitely an improvement over the bench! The seats look brand new... they look discolored in the picture because it was taken at sundown. You can also see the 8" Solobaric sub box between the seats, and the amps are mounted piggy-back to the rear cab wall behind the sub. |
Dashboard after I fiberglassed/smoothed the dash pad and trim pieces. The dash pad and trim is gloss black, and I repainted the top metal flat black |
Dash view again... I would have painted the whole thing black, but after days of sanding on the dash, I was tired of workin on it! |
Bone stock interior, with a couple added goodies |
Pioneer CD player, Autometer gauges, and shifter |
Close up of Autometer gauges |
The shifter barely cleared the seat, and is in a VERY comfortable position |
