IDAHO CANAL COMPANY ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
Articles of Incorporation
Article 1st
This Cetifies that we the undersigned have this Second day of August, A.D. Eighteen Hundred and eighty nine, formed a corporation for the purposes hereinafter specified, and which shall be known as the Idaho Canal Company with such powers and privileges as are allowed by Law.
Article 2nd
The purposes for which this Corporation is formed is to construct and own canals and acquire water rights to take water from Snake River, for the purpose of agriculture, manufacturing, and mining. The head gate of the main Canal being located on the left bank of Snake River at a point about ten miles north of the town of Eagle Rock (Idaho) and opposite Bear Island, Bingham County and Territory of Idaho.
Article 3rd
The number of it's directors shall be five (5) and the names and residences of thoes who are appointed it's directors for the first year are as follows:
Charlec C. Tautphaus Eagle Rock, Idaho
Lucius E. Hall Salt Lake, Utah
Joseph A. Clark Eagle Rock, Idaho
De Forest Chamberlain Eagle Rock, Idaho
Casper Sauer Eagle Rock, Idaho
Article 6th
The amount of the Capital Stock of this incorporation is Five Hundred Thousand (500,000.00) dollars and is divided into Five Thousand Shares of One Hundred (100) dollars each.
Article 7th
The Capital Stock is fully subscribed as follows to wit:

Charles C. Tautphaus 1,875 shares (38% ownership) See below.

Joseph A. Clark 525 shares
George J. Heilig 625 shares
George E. Shale 225 shares

Total amount of shares 5,000 shares
