11 March 2004
Left the
Prescott area around 0900 hrs. and got down to southern
Yavapai County around 1000 hrs. The temps were in the low 80's
in the lower elevation with blue skies (although rain came later).
With the
first real warm weather of the season I decided to go
out earlier in the year than I usually do, not much moving but I
saw plenty of lizards basking on the rocks and I was able to flip...
this Desert Banded Gecko
And
finally I saw this Sonoran Gopher snake basking in
the sun...
And to give you a little idea of what the terrain looked like...
And the small rain that was headed my way as I was leaving...
Kerby...
