Family Ministries
– Family Focused –
In
today’s world, the family is bombarded by the media and outside forces that can
easily tear it apart if the proper boundaries are not set. We are losing many marriages because of the
many forces that are out in the world trying to change the definition of God’s
view of marriage.
At Elm & Hudson we want to take
every opportunity to build families through many different avenues, bringing
families together for special studies and fun outings that promote family
unity. Even in churches today there are
activities that divide families, and here at Elm & Hudson we want to put
families back together. We want to help
families establish the Biblical foundation that will keep our families strong
and together.

Ministries –
Premarital/Marital
Through premarital seminars, video
series, and counseling, couples are better prepared for the special dynamics
that come in a new marital relationship.
Ongoing series on marriage help in continuing to build strong ties that
will keep marriages together. At Elm
& Hudson we are building families that will last.
Children’s Ministry
God has blessed Elm & Hudson
with many families with young children.
They are very important to us. On
Sunday morning at 9:30 and Wednesday evening at 7:00 we offer Bible classes for
all children. It is never too early to
begin building faith in Jesus in our children.
We have a child training room at the back of the balcony to provide a
quiet place to take your child on those days that he or she is a little more
rambunctious and needs special attention.
A nursery is in the back as well for babies and nursing mothers.
Youth Ministry
Elm & Hudson has an active youth
ministry program. Teens are kept busy
learning to serve not just being served.
Youth devotionals, Bible camps, youth rallies, service projects, retreats,
and fun outings are regularly planned.
Our Youth minister is always available for those special one-on-one
talks that teens need from time to time.
Keeping teens busy doing good is our goal. Our teens regularly participate and serve
during worship assemblies.
Older Adults
Aging is one of the most
misunderstood issues we face in the church today. Many older people feel underappreciated and
not useful. We want all of our senior
saints to know that they are an important part of our church and a vital
resource. We realize that they may want
to slow down some but we want to use their talents as much as they are
willing. There are many fellowship
activities planned that our seniors enjoy.
– Small Groups –
Everyone at Elm & Hudson is encouraged to be in a small
group. This gives everyone greater
service opportunities and provides a smaller family atmosphere where everyone
can become better acquainted and loved.
Our small groups meet once a month following our evening worship
assembly.
