• Notes for SARAH TOWNS:. 20 April, 1823 is the baptismal date for Sarah.

Sarah is not with her father John and siblings Elizabeth and William in the 1841 Census for Aunsby. She would have been 18 and was probably working away so as to remove strain from her widowed father.

She gave birth to a 'bastard' child, Emma on 20 July, l851 at the age of 28. The child died about 9 days later . Emma was baptized and buried at Aunsby. Sarah is believed to have died in Grantham, June 1874. As there is not a Grantham burial record, research will be done for Aunsby.
