William Everton Towns

Noted events in his life were:
• Notes for WilLIAM EVERTON TOWNS. William Everton was the youngest in the family; he attended grades 1-2 at Maple Grove, grades 3-11 at Ninga, and grade 12 at Killarney.
He worked for the Canadian Imperial Bank Of Commerce, ending up in Flin Flon, Manitoba, where he eventually quit the bank and worked for six months underground in the mines.
He joined the RCAF in 1950 and underwent training at Centralia, Ontario. He served for just over 5 years and, as a Flying Officer (F/O) flew the Harvard, the single engine Otter, the Dakota, Expediter, Mustang and the T.33.
He worked in the CPR warehouse in Vancouver for 4 years, spent a few weeks in Toronto at the Radio College of Canada and worked at odd jobs in the Killarney area.
He spent several years with his parents at Killarney Lake and is retired at the Royal Manor, Killarney, Manitoba.
