Electricity
I know exactly how to do electric work, too! Hire the professionals! :)
The odd thing is that this "professional" was my sister's neighbor kid. I am still getting over the shock of him talking about his wife's business. I mean, he was just out playing little league and running wild at school fun nights.
Anyway, since the cabin walls are solid, all the wiring will be run through exposed conduits. Big, ugly, gray tubes running around. *sigh* I was quite pleasantly surprised to find that done neatly and with white cover plates, it really doesn't look that bad.
Anyway, it's pretty much self-explanatory, the guys put up the breaker box, we figured out where dedicated outlets should be for appliances and computer and such, then they ran the conduits and wired it up. These guys even used levels. I asked if that was to make sure the electricity didn't all run down to one end, but they just sighed and ignored that comment. I guess they'd heard it before. *snicker*
I had bought the outlets and switches because I wanted those decor ones. It really wasn't much more than the regular type.
This work was done over 3 sessions, so if it seems the photo is same as previous one, it isn't, really, it's later after something more was done.
If you don't want to wade through all these, I'll just go ahead and put final composite images up here.
The blue and red plastic pipes are for plumbing. They kept getting in my way, so I finally just taped them to the wall.
There was a patched hole above the door that looked like probably had been used for exterior light, so we just re-used it as such.
There are several outlets on individual breakers, for heavy-use items like appliances, computer, heater, A/C, and water heater. The ceiling lights are each 3-way, with each one having a switch at each end of the cabin.
I have a couple of blue plastic ceiling fans I bought years ago that I will put up sometime in the future. I gave them to friends after we didn't use them, but my friends didn't use them either, so I can have them back. They are in another state, though, so I won't be able to get them for a while.

The guys needed more elbow-room, so put some stuff outside, being careful to put protection underneath against the snow and mud.
