* Indicates that we’d like for you to attach these two spreadsheets in an e-mail message to us no later than 2 weeks prior to your arrival so we can be prepared with suitable work for group members.

The Participant Liability Release Form and the Medical Information for Volunteers Form (all linked below for your convenience) are two forms that each volunteer is to complete and bring with them to submit upon arrival.

Also linked below is the Individual Volunteer Skills Level Needed From All Groups Spreadsheet and the Group Roster Needed From All Groups Spreadsheet.  Group leaders (or someone in your group with ability to complete an Excel spreadsheet) are asked to complete and attach these two spreadsheets to an e-mail message to us (at DisasterReBuilders@fullercenter.org) no later than 2 weeks prior to the group’s arrival.  We need this information so we can plan work accordingly and ensure that we have enough bed space for all volunteers.

If you are not part of a group and coming to volunteer as an individual, you are asked to complete and e-mail these spreadsheets as well.

Above is the link to the current Orientation Packet which will tell you specific information about what to expect.  It provides information about all areas in which to volunteer whether it be for the medical clinic, the building/rebuilding teams, our kitchen, etc.  It includes the forms needed to be completed by all individual volunteers.

This ministry is grounded in our Lord’s word through the actions of our brothers and sisters.  This ministry has many roles in which individuals can serve.

Yes, we need individuals with various building skills.  Yes, we need individuals with administrative/clerical skills.  Yes, we need individuals who can cook.  Yes, we needed individuals who can assist in taking care of volunteers by cleaning up and by washing dishes.

We have had many “senior” volunteers who were not able to perform strenuous work, but were vital in serving the ministry in many ways.  The volunteers we need are those who come with a servant’s heart, willing to serve in any area needed.  Our volunteers are truly the hands and feet of our Lord, helping to heal the broken hearted with His light.

If you are a nurse or have administrative skills and would like to volunteer in the Bethel Free Health Clinic, you can contact our Medical Clinic Coordinator, Judith Jones, at (228) 594-3640 or through the clinic’s e-mail address, bethelkatclinic@gmail.com.

We hope you’ll join us.  It will be an experience that will change you.  You will develop a connection with our Lord and His people like none other.

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us (228) 365-2734 or through our e-mail, DisasterReBuilders@fullercenter.org.

We want to make your volunteer experience as positive as possible.  To accomplish that, we ask for each of our volunteers to take a minute and complete a Ministry Evaluation Form.  We use the information each volunteer provides to make changes and thus provide a better experience.  Volunteers are given the form the day prior to their departure.  If you did not receive an evaluation form and would like to respond, please print and complete the form (linked below) and e-mail it to us at behtelkat@gmail.com or send it via the postal service.

Rebuild Homes, Renew Hope, Restore Communities

We are currently working in Waveland and Bay St. Louis, Mississippi in response to Hurricane Katrina.   On August 29th, 2005 Katrina became the largest natural disaster to make landfall.  The eye of the storm went over Waveland and Bay St. Louis.  Both towns suffered over 90% devastation.

We are also exploring opportunities to rebuild communities in eastern Texas post Hurricane Ike.   Our first volunteer teams will be working in Bridge City and Orange, Texas on February 20 – March 8th, 2005.  Not many people know that hurricane Ike is the third most costly hurricane (Katrina is the first and Andrew is the second).  In Bridge City there are approximately 8,500 people and all but 27 homes had flooding due to hurricane Ike.  The need is great, but not widely known.
