This ministry is grounded in our Lord’s word through the actions of our brothers and sisters. This ministry has many roles in which individuals can serve. Yes, we need physicians and nurses. Yes, we need individuals with various building skills. Yes, we need individuals with administrative/clerical skills. Yes, we need individuals who can assist families secure resources. Yes, we need individuals who can cook. Yes, we needed individuals who can assist in taking care of volunteers by washing towels, by cleaning up, by washing dishes, by making lunches. We have had many “senior” volunteers who were not able to perform strenuous work, but were vital in serving the ministry in many ways. The volunteers we need are those who come with a servant’s heart, willing to serve in any area needed. Our volunteers are truly the hands and feet of our Lord, helping to heal the people of south Mississippi with His light. We hope you’ll join us. It will be an experience that will change you. You will develop a connection with our Lord and His people like none other. Below is the link to the current Orientation Packet which will tell you specific information about what to expect. It provides information about all areas in which to volunteer whether it be for the medical clinic, the building/rebuilding teams, our kitchen, etc. It includes the forms needed to be completed by all individual volunteers (The Participant Liability Release Form and the Medical Information for Volunteers Form (all linked below for your convenience). Also linked below is the Individual Volunteer Skills Level Needed From All Groups Spreadsheet and the Group Roster Needed From All Groups Spreadsheet. Group leaders are asked to complete and e-mail these two spreadsheets back to us (at bethelkat@gmail.com) to us at least 2 weeks prior to the group’s arrival so we can plan work accordingly. If you don’t know how to use a spreadsheet, please have someone else in the group, or a friend or neighbor complete it for you …. many, many thanks as this is how we can prepare work for your time with us. To accomplish that, we ask for each of our volunteers to take a minute and complete a Ministry Evaluation Form.
