Our VisionSouth Mississippians fully recover physically, emotionally and spiritually from the impacts of Hurricane Katrina.
Our MissionTo assure that our brothers and sisters return to pre-disaster levels of normalcy, we administer four distinct yet interactive programs needed to achieve total recovery.
The Free Health Clinic provides, at no cost, competent, accessible, timely, and compassionate health care. Services include primary care, health screenings, basic medication, spiritual and emotional comfort, as well as health education.
Our Resource Management program ensures that individuals and families who suffered material loss (financial, housing, clothing, transportation, employment, etc.) as a result of Hurricane Katrina receive the resource support needed to re-build their lives. This program secures resources through networking with community partners and volunteer groups.
Our Volunteer Coordination program secures the skills and expertise of volunteers from across the country for each program in serving south Mississippians. This program manages volunteer logistics (food, shelter, transportation, work projects, etc.)
The Rebuilding/Building program provides resources and manpower to support Coast families in their home rebuilding efforts.
Ministry services are available to all Coast residents in need. Our services are based upon un-met or under-met client needs. We do not discriminate based upon religious affiliation or lack thereof, race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, physical/mental abilities, etc. |
