After 15 years Bob finally found the Boss he's been looking for since first viewing a Grabber Lime '71 Boss 351 at "The Fabulous Fords Forever Show" at Knotts Berry Farm back in 1985. Bob was very intrigued by the unusual color and the burbbling exhaust. He had a '70 Boss 302 at the time, but this was a whole different thoroughbred. After spending most of the day talking to the owner, Bob asked if he would consider selling his '71 Boss 351. A polite but definite no was the response from the owner.
A decade and a half later Bob caught sight of a Grabber Lime '71 Boss 351 on the Internet. After much decoding and reviewing of the car using pictures and video tape, a deal was struck, and the car made the journey in the dead of winter from the flat lands of Iowa to a comfortable new life in Idaho. Last of the Boss cars, the '71 Boss is considered to be Ford's best effort, with lots of torque and lots of top end to go with the excellent handling. After owning other Boss cars, Bob agrees that his 1 of 1,806 '71 Boss' produced is at the top of the Grin Scale!!!
