The featured Special Interest Ford for March 1998 belongs to Kim and Jennie.
Kim purchased this car 1 1/2 years ago, as a replacement for the 69 Eliminator
that he had in high school and college. This 1970 Cougar is equipped with a
warmed over 289 C4 automatic. The car is still under construction. The plans
for the car include a 351C 4V backed up by a C6. The 289 C4 combo will be moved
over to the 66 Mustang coupe that he recently purchased.
For everybody that is not familiar with the Cougar, it was Mercury's cousin
to the Mustang. It shares the same power train with a different body.
Kim's license plates read RATEATR to follow along with one of the sayings about
the Cougar Eliminators. This Cat eats Rats.
