This months featured car is Mark's 1984 SVO Mustang. Mark bought his SVO
3 years ago as a daily driver and loves it. It handles very well, acceleration
is brisk but not the kick in the pants of a V-8. However, 25MPG average is
not to be sneezed at since he's put 30,000 miles on it commuting from Nampa
to Boise every day.
Specifications include:
medium Canyon Red Metallic paint
Ultra 5-spoke 5-lug wheels with Yokohama 225/50VR16 tires
2.3L I-4 Turbo Intercooled engine with EECIV injection system with cockpit controls
Power Steering
4 wheel Power Disc brakes
6 Koni shocks
5 speed T-5 with factory Hurst shifter
3.45:1 Traction Lok
Eibach lowering kit
Factory stats: 0-60 7.5 seconds, 1/4@15.5@90MPH, 134MPH top speed
The production run of 4258 units makes this Mustang fairly rare as well as
fun. Mark plans to keep it a long time.
